I take refuge in the Three Jewels:

The Buddha, my lord the Lion of the Sakyans.

To him, in reverence: the Blessed One, the Awakened One,

the Perfectly Self-Enlightened Sage Thus Come.

The Dhamma, the Teaching of Awakening.

I seek the truth of nature to leave behind fear and sadness.

May I know this heart's release, may we all reach the freedom of peace.

The Sangha, my fellow travelers of the Eightfold Path.

Our Noble Friends are ahead of us, guiding all

to the one safe haven from the deadly cycle of rebirth.

We take delight in the Teaching and the Noble Ones.

We seek higher happiness than the illusory and harmful ways of the world.

No one can challenge a person who's

truly strong: guarding, guarded by, the Teaching.
